Hawkes Bay

Graduated with a B.Agric Management from University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg. Craig joined AgFirst Engineering in 2002 and became a Director in 2010. Water engineering and irrigation experience spans more than 20 years and includes significant projects in frost protection using water, apple and kiwifruit irrigation, stock water / farm water supply systems and pastoral irrigation. Experienced in working through from the water source and Resource Consent consultancy to design, specification, implementation and project management of complete systems. International experience includes working on a kiwifruit development in Japan.

Delara joined AgFirst Engineering Hawkes Bay Ltd in July 2014 after emigrating from Iran where she had worked for 13 years for the largest water engineering consulting firm in the country. After completing a degree at the University of Tehran (Bachelor of Science in irrigation engineering) Delara began work with Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Co in 2001 as an irrigation and drainage engineer, specialising in designing open channels and pipes, hydraulic design of water conveyance, run off simulation, surface water hydrology, systems and networks, designing pressurized irrigation networks, and carrying out feasibility studies, where she can use her skills in GIS, CAD and other technical software.
